YYE 274T - Eastern Counties No,LN274

YYE274T was new to London Transport in 1979 as LS274 carrying their Royal Red livery with LT Bullseye logo, yellow front entrance doors and a set of centre exit doors. In February 1987 LS274 was sold to Eastbourne Buses, painted blue and cream , she remained in Eastbourne until November 1990 when sold for scrap to Ripley’s in Barnsley.

Luckily in that same month 274 was saved and purchased by Chase Coaches, and converted to single door. Here 274 initially operated in previous owners livery with Chase branding until re-paint in 1992. 274 served with Chase until 2007 with a grand 16 years service under its belt with this operator.

Sold to New Farm Produce in 2007 and painted military green 274 remained here as staff transport until 2013 where it was purchased by The Big Lemon and eventually Oliver Fosker for preservation in 2014.

Restored into fictitious privatised Eastern Counties livery 274 has been active on the rally scene and placed for sale in 2019 when purchased by Eastern Bus Enthusiasts members for continued preservation.

The plan is to eventually re-paint the bus in Chase Coaches livery but will remain as Eastern Counties for now.
