Turners Coachways (Bristol) Ltd. was sold in June 2019 to Kevyn Jones. The business commenced in February 1968 as a partnership of RC, OI, and AJ Turner and became a limited company in 1978. The first coach bought new was Ford R226 / Duple AHY555J in January 1971 and most of the early purchases were Fords. Tony Turner had a contract for rail replacement work for British Rail in the 1970s.
A most unusual new purchase was SHY707M a 12m Leyland Leopard PSU5/4R / Van Hool Vistadome C57F first licensed in May 1974 having briefly served as an unregistered demonstrator with Arlington Motors of Bristol. SHY707M was sold to Sparkes , Bath in June 1982.
707 Was acquired by Eric Graveling, Peterborough in August 1997 & repainted into current 2 tone blue before being sold to Mark Judd, Guyhirn in July 2009. Believed to be one of only three surviving Vanhool Vistadome bodied coaches.
